When business slackened in 1903 he emigrated to Toronto, Canada where he took notice of a Spiritualist meeting. At the meeting he was informed that his father William Stone was present and wanted to send his greeting. The medium gave a clear description of his father which resulted in his curiosity of Spiritualism.

After coming to America he attended the Nurses Training School of Buffalo State Hospital in New York and graduated June 16, 1908 as a male nurse. On December 7th, 1910 he became a citizen of the United States. During his work at the hospital he became interested in Chiropractic which led him to study at the Palmer Gregory College of Chiropractic in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Shortly thereafter he moved to Washington D.C. where he obtained a Healing Arts license and set up his practice on 14th Street N.W. It was here that he became acquainted with Mr. Rollison Colburn who later introduced him to Mr. James Padgett, a prominent Washington attorney, who possessed the gift of automatic writing.

Dr. Stone believed that Padgett was a genuine medium and the common interest they shared developed a close bond of mutual respect and brotherly love. He believed that Mr. Padgett was receiving authentic spiritual truths from Jesus and his host of Celestial Angels and he learned from the writings that Jesus had also selected him to do a work on earth for the Kingdom.

When requests were made from the spirit side of life by dark spirits, for knowledge of the truths that were being received, Dr. Stone began speaking with them creating a desire in these dark or undeveloped spirits to follow the bright spirits so they could be shown the brighter side of their spiritual life and progress even to the Celestial Heavens where the bright spirits lived. One of Dr. Stones talks began as follows:

"My dear brothers and sisters, I am now going to give you a talk as revealed by Jesus and the Celestial Spirits on the great truths that are known to be facts by these high spirits who are so desirous to enlighten you in your progress to the Celestial Heavens. We are all created by the Heavenly Father and therefore we are all His children and in that sense we are all brothers and sisters. The Divine Angels are anxious to come to you and tell you of their personal experience and progression after they entered the Spirit World and are so desirous to tell you how they progressed from the lower spheres into the Celestial Heavens.

You may never have had the opportunity of seeing these Angels who are anxious for you to see them. You who are in the lower spheres might say if it is their desire for me to progress into the higher spheres why did they not come to me before? Well, the answer is, YOU have never made the favorable condition possible so they could make the contact with you to permit you to see them in their glory and beauty.

To bring into operation this Law of Rapport you have to make the favorable condition so this law will come into operation, for the Divine Angels are controlled by law as immutable as the law itself. You have the power to make the necessary conditions and they will do their part. To begin, if you will send out a sincere and earnest desire to the Heavenly Father, He will send one of His Divine Angels to you and show you the way to the Celestial Heavens and only then will the barriers between you and the Celestial Angels be dissolved and the Law of Rapport will be made and you will be able to see them. And when this happens you can then go with them and they will tell you of their personal experiences and how they made their progression from the lower spheres in to the Celestial Heavens.

At the end of my talk I will pray to the Heavenly Father that He may send to you the Divine Angels to help you to progress out of your present condition and permit you to see them.

Because the Father's Love is so great and broad and deep that it reaches down into the lowest hells as well as into the highest heavens, no mortal or spirit will be deprived of the Father's Divine Love if they will only pray for it with all the earnest longings of their soul and when they obtain this love their darkness and suffering will leave them and they will progress into the bright spheres.

I then direct all spirits present to send out all the longings of their souls that God will send the Angels to them. After I have done this, I have the wonderful experience of seeing the most beautiful lights from the many high spirits. These lights seem to surround me and envelop my whole body and the wonderful feeling that comes to me from these Divine Angels I can hardly express in words.

The Celestial Angels circle around me for some time then I realize without any doubt that these Divine Angels were present and then I tell all spirits who are present that the Angels are now here and I tell them to look earnestly around until they see them and then go with them and they will receive help that they so badly are in need of and that they will be shown the way to the Celestial Heavens. I then extend my arms to all spirits present and radiate the wonderful love and power and pray to the Heavenly Father to bless them and fill their souls with His great Divine Love in abundance."

Dr. Stone spoke almost every day to mortals and spirits about the Father's Divine Love. In his lifetime he published four editions of the Padgett messages "Messages From The Angels". He was 90 years old when he died on January 6th 1967 at Washington D. C. where he resided for over 50 years.

He was a man of great courage and conviction and believed implicitly in the truths of the writings from Jesus and the Celestial Angels and his visits into the Spirit World which he spoke of having made in the past and of the Divine Love which he and his soulmate Mary Kennedy had for each other, one in the mortal life, the other as a Celestial Angel.

He backed up his love and faith in the daily acts of his life. He was kind, loving and generous to all and despite his all to modest means he sought each day to serve the Lord by preaching and teaching the "Good News" of the Father's Divine Love to whomsoever would listen.

He held on to his beliefs with a tenacity and conviction and faith comparable to the early Christian martyrs of Rome and deprived himself of food and necessities so that the messages from Jesus and the Celestials could be printed and brought to the attention of mankind.

He is greatly missed and we pray that he will continue to love and help us from his new abode in the great beyond, with his Mary at his side and Jesus to point the way.
